Fauci is a MONSTER

Some excellent journalism from Leighton Woodhouse here on substack, among others, found that Fauci has been abusing animals, including dogs, needlessly for 40 years, following years of constant lies.

Anthony Fauci has quickly become one of the most the most beloved figures in the world on one side of the political aisle, and one of the most hated on the other side. The elite liberal media and their legions of followers consider Fauci to be science personified, while conservatives seem to think he is a symbol of authoritarian communism.

I don’t like to think of Fauci in either of these terms. I am more left-wing by just about every metric than people who identify as either of those, and yet I dislike Fauci.

The initial reason for this was his repeated lying throughout the early stages of the pandemic.

The first big lie worth mentioning here is, on March 8 2020, saying in a 60 minutes interview that “people should not be walking around wearing masks,” and that they do not protect against covid-19.

Lie. There has never been any doubt from scientists and in the data over the effectiveness of adults wearing masks.

Fauci has attempted to explain these comments in interviews since, with the main explanation being that he was trying to make sure that we would have enough masks for essential workers, which we wouldn’t if more people were panic buying masks.

Now, we can have a value judgement as to whether this is good prioritization of people or not. But what it most certainly isn’t is a truthful statement, especially when within a month him and his friends in the establishment media were villainizing every man, woman and child who didn’t wear a mask one time.

It would have been so much more honest if Fauci came out and told us “Hey guys, masks work but we don’t have enough of them yet so we are valuing other people’s lives over yours so please don’t buy masks yet.” We may not like that, and there are some serious problems with a statement like that, but at least it’s true.

The second lie that he has told throughout the pandemic has been about how many people we need to vaccinate to reach herd immunity.

Now, I am not a scientist. I have not got the foggiest idea how many people we need to get vaccinated to reach herd immunity. All that I can say for certain is that people should have a choice over whether they get the vaccine or not, with no threat of losing a job because of government policy or even potential jail time - like some shitlibs want - for not getting the shots. It should be their choice. As it is, I got the vaccine. I’m fine. There have been no side effects. I firmly believe it works. I believe that people should get it, but I also am opposed to making that happen through government force.

Dr Fauci, though, is not only a scientist, but also seems to think that he is science embodied. He has said that “attacks on me are attacks on science.” He should be on top of all the data.

However, it seems he never has been concerning the threshold required for herd immunity, yet continues to state what it is with extreme confidence.

He has said that it is 60-70%. 75%. 80%. 85%. These numbers have all been given in close proximity timewise of each other in separate interviews.

He has said that he based the numbers he gave off of the polls. “When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent," Fauci said. "Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, 'I can nudge this up a bit,' so I went to 80, 85."

Fauci is admitting to lying on scientific data based on the polls. The fucking polls. That is whatever the exact opposite of a public health advisor is supposed to do.

The final thing that is worth mentioning that he has constantly lied about is the origin of the pandemic. He has claimed with certainty that the only possible theory for how this started is a natural origin in a wet market in Wuhan.

This conflicts with what several scientists, including former CDC director Robert Redfield, who have looked at the actual evidence have come to believe that the pandemic originated in the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where they were creating bat viruses as part of gain of function research in an effort to defeat these viruses. This is exceptionally risky work, and most of the evidence points to the virus being leaked accidentally from the lab. I am not claiming that Fauci deliberately got this virus leaked: that is madness. But I am claiming that his negligence, along with that of others in the US and China, is to blame.

Dr. Fauci has attempted to cover this up, however. In the early stages of the pandemic, he pushed back against the claim, with him and his cronies in the corporate liberal media calling it a conspiracy theory among other things. In emails leaked this year, several other scientists who would have egg on their face if the lab leak theory was proven true thanked Fauci for his ‘bravery’ in the first half of 2020.

He also received an email as early as January 2020 from a large biomedical research facility suggesting that the virus had “unusual features,” meaning that it was probably “engineered.” Dr. Fauci has known this since the time that the first cases were reported, and have continued to call it a conspiracy theory ever since.

We all know this. this has been evident for the last two years. However, HIV/AIDS activists have known of him since the 1980s. For a long few years at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic he was considered a typical bureaucrat who did nothing but make excuses for the slowness of testing and drugs for curing it. While they do say he improved with age, the fact that his first instinct is to make excuses and deflect blame shows a continued flaw in his work.

New information has come out in the last week or two, however, about the role that Dr. Fauci has played in animal testing and abuse.

The headline story, from Leighton Woodhouse and a series of animal rights activists, includes recent tests in Tunisia, funded by the NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases), the part of the NIH headed by Fauci, were utterly monstrous.

Beagles (the dog) were sedated and had their heads placed in meshed cages alongside starved sandflies. It doesn’t take a genius to work out what happened next. The dogs were eaten to death alive. Then they repeated the test outdoors, with beagles placed in mesh cages outside in the desert for nine nights. The test was related to ZVL, a disease that can be transmitted to humans and dogs that is very common in sandflies in Tunisia.

These poor dogs are a handful of the estimated 1100 dogs tested on annually by the NIH using taxpayer dollars. The number of animals tested annually by the American government range from tens of millions to hundreds of millions. That is a crazy amount of animals.

Woodhouse also included this list in his article:

• Beagles were infected with pneumonia in order to induce septic shock and “experimental massive acute hemorrhage,” then given blood transfusions. “After 96 hours, animals still alive were considered survivors and were euthanized.” 

• Beagles were infected with anthrax in order to test a vaccine that was already FDA approved.

• “Mongrel dogs” were subjected to induced heart attacks, scanned by MRI, then killed and dissected.

• Pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and monkeys were subjected to agonizing pain without anesthesia. These included infecting pigs with a virus that causes “acute respiratory stress, hemorrhagic manifestations, paralysis” and other symptoms; injecting rabbits with bacteria that create severe skin infections and ear lesions and usually death within twelve hours; infecting guinea pigs with a virus that causes “multi-organ failure” and death, as well as “hind limb paralysis or prolapsed rectum”; and infecting monkeys with Ebola and tuberculosis, the latter of which produces symptoms including “rapid breathing, weight loss,” and “inability to drink.”

• Monkeys had parts of their brains destroyed with acid in order to increase their capacity for terror, and were then tormented with simulated spiders, snakes and other things they instinctively fear. These experiments have been ongoing for more than four decades.

Monstrous.

We could have a value judgement as to whether this is worth it if the tests were successful and gave us significant medical information to cure deadly diseases. But they do that very rarely. In the words of the NIH, “Approximately 30 percent of promising medications have failed in human clinical trials because they are found to be toxic despite promising preclinical studies in animal models. About 60 percent of candidate drugs fail due to lack of efficacy.” In other words, there is a 90% failure rate. 90%.

As Leighton Woodhouse put it in his (excellent) article on this, “Most of that failure is due to the fundamental differences between human physiology and the physiologies of mice, or rabbits, or dogs. But even between animals with much closer physiologies, the predictive power of animal tests is unimpressive. Between mice and rats, there’s only a sixty percent chance you’ll get the same result. And when you repeat experiments on the same species, only 4 out of 5 times is the result the same — and closer to 2 out of 3 times with toxic substances.” In other words, humans and dogs, rabbits or mice do not have the same physiology, so these animal tests don’t really work. No shit Sherlock.

Leighton gave three reasons as to why animal testing continues to such a large extent even though it really does not work: institutional inertia, Fauci and Francis Collins. Two of the three reasons are very experienced, older bureaucrats who probably mentally live in the 1980s when we didn’t know that these tests don’t work, and the other is very much the fault of those two individuals.

In the 1980s, Fauci and Collins had a reason to support mass animal testing. It was probably the best option we had. But this is no longer true. “Knowledge in the life sciences doubles every seven years,” Dr. Thomas Hartung, a toxicologist who directs Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing, told Woodhouse. “We have about 1,000 times more knowledge now than at the time we designed animal tests.” These tests do not work. Fauci is ordering the mass slaughter of animals for no reason.

The truth is that we can do some significantly better and more moral things than testing on animals in most circumstances. Fauci, however, does not care. He seems to want to murder animals. He is a monster.

As always, there is an element of this article that needs to be about the media, because they, as always, have been shit on this.

Politifact, Forbes, FactCheck and the Washington Post, all of which are supposedly ‘trusted’ news sources, are trying to frame this as a right-wing smear of Anthony Fauci. This is despite the fact that every word of Woodhouse’s article is the result of either Freedom of Information requests, whistleblowers from the NIAID/NIH or other experts at universities around the United States. He thoroughly fact checked his article before publishing it. He did the job that the Washington Post should be doing and is being smeared for it. The rest of the liberal media has remained pretty quiet about it.

For all these failures, Fauci needs to be fired. There is simply no other answer to this. He is living in the 1980s and has never been effective. Fire Fauci.
