Russiagate propagator indicted, media twists it
Michael Sussmann, a cybersecurity lawyer who worked with the Clinton campaign, was this week charged with lying to the FBI
Russiagate was a stupid conspiracy theory created by the Clinton campaign in an attempt to cover for their embarrassing defeat in the 2016 election. There is no way that any candidate should have ever lost to President Trump, but Clinton managed it, and then attempted to blame everyone else but herself.
As we went over a couple of weeks ago, she and her campaign have blamed Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein for their loss. This is stupid, for the reasons we went over in that article.
However, the biggest group that they managed to attribute their loss to was the Putin-led Russian government.
Now, I don’t have a clue why Putin would consider helping the Trump campaign. It is true he has said some non-hateful things about Russia. It is also, however, true that, as President, Trump massively increased tensions with Russia’s number 1 ally in Syria, he piled NATO troops on the Russian border, he increased the money going towards the Ukrainian defense, and he blocked a pipeline between Russia and Germany, all of which were majorly hawkish moves that weren’t done, or weren’t done to the same extent, by the Biden and Obama administrations. So, the idea that Putin desperately wanted Trump in office is utterly nonsensical.
The Democrats and their puppets in the media ignored these obvious red flags, however, and desperately hung to the many lies that they themselves created, even though many of them are easily refutable.
One of these lies that was most cited was created by a reporter by the name of Luke Harding, who claimed that Paul Manafort, a lobbyist for the Trump campaign, met with Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian embassy, which then resulted in the journalist releasing the infamous Clinton emails.
This is bullshit. The Ecuadorian embassy is one of the most regulated buildings in the world. There is a record of every single person who visited Assange in the embassy from 2013. There was no record of Manafort, meaning that the meeting never happened.
This is just one example of the many lies told over the course of the Russiagate investigation from the Democrats and their minions in the media.
It’s worth mentioning where and when this conspiracy theory began. It began just before election day in 2016, when Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton released statements such as this one.
This comment about ‘computer scientists’ comment has become relevant once again in the last week, given that one them was a gentleman by the name of Michael Sussman, who is the guy that was this week indicted for lying to the FBI.
This lying to the investigators of the FBI happened five years ago, in September 2016. It is alleged that Mr. Sussman claimed that he was not working for any client at the time, and was there of his own accord, whereas, in fact, he was working for the cybersecurity law firm Perkins Coie, and he also happened to be part of the Democratic National Committee’s cybersecurity advisory board. He went to the FBI claiming to be an honest, individual citizen merely trying to work for the good of the country when in fact he was testifying against his political opposition.
This is a very obvious problem, and calls into question the entire Russiagate investigation, as if the lack of indictments on President Trump hadn’t done that already.
But, the Democrats and their media minions did not care about this conflict of interest. In fact, they orchestrated it, caused it, and yet still used this individual’s testimony to the FBI as evidence, when, if anything, it is evidence that Russiagate was nothing but bullshit from the beginning, given that the original accusation was made by someone with political motive.
This brings the entire Russiagate ‘scandal’ into question. The whole basis of the investigation was Sussman’s testimony about Trump and a Russian bank. It has now been proven that this man was working for the Clinton campaign, meaning that anything he has said or claimed on this matter simply cannot be trusted.
This also shows how the Clinton campaign, and Democrats generally, are unable to prove that they are better than Republicans on policy.
And that’s not because the Republicans are good. They are not, in any way, shape or form. But what they do have in their favour is that the Democrats are unwilling to actually do anything that helps people.
If we just look at this year so far, where they have had a supermajority across both houses, while also holding the Presidency. They could pass anything they want. Anything. They do not need the Republicans. But, they refuse to. They instead manage to find any excuse available to them.
They have used the filibuster to their advantage, when, if they wanted to, they could’ve ended that distinctly undemocratic tool that favours the political minority over the majority.
They have shifted blame onto Joe Manchin when Joe Biden could play the carrot and stick game, basically telling Manchin that, if he doesn’t cooperate, the DOJ will investigate and probably prosecute his daughter, who was involved in keeping up the price of insulin illegally. Biden could say that, unless Manchin works for the American people and their needs, he will investigate this, and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. Manchin is going to care more about his daughter, and his wife who was also involved, than he will about any petty belief he claims to have that 70% of the American people disagree with.
They have even tried to blame the Senate parliamentarian. Now, I have no doubt that this bureaucrat is no more than an establishment tool, who has no will to actually help the people. However, they have no more than an advisory opinion on what has happened in the past. They have no power. They can’t ‘block’ anything, like the Democrats and their media minions have claimed that they have. They can’t. And yet, the Democrats are attempting to assert that she blocked the $15 minimum wage from the earlier reconciliation bill, immigration reform and some other items. Now, even if we buy their falsehood that the Democrats can’t overrule her, they could do what the Republicans did in 2001, and sacked her and found someone who supported what they ‘want’ to do. Now, if they actually wanted to do anything that they claim to want to do, they would either overrule or sack the parliamentarian, but they won’t because she is a convenient excuse.
This all shows that the Democrats have no real selling point over the Republicans, so they need to create something.
That is what Russiagate was. It was a made-up scandal, created in the last days of the election to try to win an election, claiming that the main alternative to Hillary Clinton was a Russian operator, based primarily off the testimony of a Clinton operative.
Of course, we also need to talk about how the mainstream media has covered it.
Aside from a cursory glance at the indictment itself, the mainstream media is trying to make this indictment out to be some kind of purely partisan decision, rather than the result of an actual investigation into the motives of an accusation on political opposition.
The Daily Beast claims that this was a mockery of justice. A mockery of justice. Pointing out the lies made by the key expert in the case that dominated the country for 2 years is a ‘mockery of justice’ according to the liberal media. Un-fucking-believable. That is justice itself.
Most of the media have headlines similar to that of the New York Times, whose article was entitled Trump-Era Special Counsel secures indictment of lawyer of firm with Democratic ties. Now, that is true. However, it is misleading, as it suggests that it is the partisan drivel from Trumpists desperate to own the libs.
MSNBC, whose main host, Rachel Maddow, was one of the key propagators of Russiagate, claimed that, contrary to all evidence, Russiagate wasn’t a hoax, but that Sussman’s indictment was.
Now, with these supposed journalists is where the partisanship and the lies lie. Not with the investigation proving the lies of Russiagate.
Was this is all proof of is how the liberal media is unable to back down from the lies that they told for many years. If they were willing to, people may begin to trust them. But they can’t. They simply don’t want to admit that they bullshitted us for many years.
Russiagate was a hoax. No more, no less. We know need to collectively go after those that created and told that lie.
